I love to read! And so, I kind of want everybody to love reading as much as I do. Therefore, books are my favorite gifts to give. This has earned me the title “the book lady” from my nieces and nephews. When I show up at a birthday party with a gift in hand my nephew will undoubtedly say, “Oh, I know it has to be books. It’s the book lady!” 

As I thought about this blog and my purpose behind it, ”The Book Lady” title came to mind. When I finish a book, I love to share and discuss it. This blog will be a place for me to share my love of books instead of stopping random strangers in the grocery store to tell them about the novel I just finished. (Just kidding, I've never done that!) 

My blog has three categories based on this awesome sticker* I found several months ago at a local coffee shop:

Read Books,

Drink Coffee,

Fight Evil.

These three actions speak to my passions. (I also really love tea but that's not on the sticker.)

My hope is to share fun content mixed in with some seriousness and a call to action. I love community and hope to also bring in other voices to this blog-people who are more knowledgable than me and who can bring a different perspective.
