I'm not sure I can remember the last time I didn't start my day with a cup of coffee. I think it was back in my days of Children's Ministry at Kids Camp where I had to wait to have coffee until getting to breakfast. It was a traumatic time for me. Ok, maybe that's more more dramatic than traumatic, but still.
At my house the daily coffee routine starts the night before. We set the coffee maker to begin brewing about 10 minutes before the alarms start going off to ensure coffee is available upon waking. Most mornings I head straight for the coffee pot and take the warm steaming cup of deliciousness to my favorite chair in the sitting room.
I am pretty simple when it comes to coffee. I drink it black, just like my parents and grandparents and probably many generations before that. Don't get me wrong, I do love a good latte or a pumpkin spice latter during the fall (Yep, I'm one of those!). I enjoy iced coffee with cream and of course we cannot forget the pinnacle of coffee desserts, tiramisu. Yum!
In this part of my blog we'll talk all things coffee (and tea). What's your favorite coffee drink? Do you have a daily coffee routine? I'd love to hear from you!
I recently learned to make French Press coffee in my home. It’s delightfully smooth. I’ve inadvertently become a coffee snob, as nothing else really quite comes close to the French Press experience!
